Here is a case that is more of a “just roll with it” case than anything else, nothing really special. Patient broke #20 fairly low on the gum line. Extracted and grafted waited 3 months. Socket still a bit immature.
Went into this one hoping to do CEREC guide, but no dice. The reference body (S) was way to large. In these cases if you wished to do Guided you would send out for an Opti Guide or a pilot guide. Still used the data and in this case we planned a 4.7 by 13mm Legacy 3 from Implant Direct.
One of my IME punches, this was an early prototype, the new ones are longer to fit in guides. I like using stops if I am going non guided to serve as a “bumper” mesio distally. In this case we used a Zosseo stop for implant direct.
Implant placed and indexed. Not a lot of torque, maybe 15 Ncm. In this case rather than using a large contour healer I used the cover screw and 2mm collar that comes free with the Legacy Implant. Will wait and see. I know people say spinners are no big deal, but I would always prefer to get some stability.
Ok back after a few months and everything is good to go! 4.3 is awesome! Just got the go ahead to post. TSV scan post used for a screw retained Emax.
As always, I like to try in my Emax in the blue state and work out the occlusion and just check to make sure i put the scan post in correctly. Just love the new graphics in 4.3.
Here is the final. Flow it ALC opaque and opaque composite on top. Love these easy restorations!
