Not everyone wants an implant. So, bridges are still very much in the mix of dentistry, and should not be forgotten. This was a case where the patient just wanted the space to be filled in and not change his overall appearance. In other words, he wanted what he had, but with a tooth in the gap. Simple enough.
One advantage to Ivoclar Vivadent’s eMax ZirCAD and CS6 furnace is that the esthetic outcome is predictable, and consistent. I’ve seen zirconia bridge of other manufacturers literally change colors in front of my eyes AFTER they have cooled down!! Fast sintering comes with esthetic risks and limitations, but the CS6 furnace is dialed into keep surprises from happening. One ingenious thing, and so simple, was that the furnace sinters the zirconia crystalline structure under vacuum. This seats the crystalls to each other in a way that reduces porosities greatly. Those tiny voids play an important role on why zirconia in general can look strange.
