I found this pic where a doc was using an Nd/Yag laser and it heated up the implant so much it melted!! It melted so bad the abutment wouldn’t fit! So the moral of the story is to use a cool running laser like a CO2. I used a DEKA to uncover a free hand immediate molar 7 mm Legacy 2.
Shaped the tissue with a carbide, got a bit carried away on the buccal but it was really smooth sailing and design on the CEREC end. I try to approximate CEJs on the buccal.
Ok so in retrospect its funny but not during this 2 hour appointment . We now have setting for Emax in speed fire, but I lost my little single use tray so I just used a peg with object fix. Guess that was a no no as I ended up with a melted crown. I am wondering if its too tall? it was melted on to the hood of the furnace. Anyway I still have my ivoclar furnace which is only 18 minutes compared to 38 minutes in the speed fire! Only had A3 not A3.5 opaque composite.
