One thing thats a bit annoying with CG2 is virtually extracting teeth. I’ve tried it in the software and was never good at it, so I brought the model into ExoCAD and with a few clicks got #29 which was slated for extraction as the crown was broken underneath with an existing post that was keeping the top half of the tooth from coming out. 3D printed the model then re scanned into CEREC.
By mistake I found out something cool about the Xive kit, the small CEREC Guide 2 fits the small sliding sleeve on the drill perfectly and the large sleeve that slides on the drill fits my Astra Medium CEREC Guide 2 sleeve perfectly! So in a nutshell no sleeve is necessary for this. The drill length was 20 which is all you need for the D2 as we are not subtracting for a sleeve.
Here you can see that the sleeve that goes on the drill fits the small milled CG2 sleeve perfectly!!
Placed the implant with DirecGen MFDBA and a collagen membrane. Xive is a super easy system!!!!
