‘Sup Babygirl: Placenta and DirecGen MFDBA socket graft

Ok, I know the title is a bit much! But this is a really cool product!  Large vertical defect on #19.  Placenta has been used a great deal in medicine for covering large open wounds, such as diabetic ulcers.  Its anti microbial, attracts mesynchmal stem cells, has all sorts of biological factors.  Its designed for treating open wounds and hastens wound closure and rapid vascular growth. Plus they put a little smily face on it!  Thanks to Whitney Gomez for letting me know about it. This placental membrane is the Bioexclude line from Snoasis. Unlike PRF placenta is termed “age zero” meaning the cells that differentiate are not 52 year old cells.

Tooth removed with just a cowhorn.  After curretting the be-jeesus out of it, placed about 1 CC of MFDBA mixed cortical cancellous small particle sized bone.  Snoasis does not recommend cutting the membrane but it can be tucked in and folded, nor do they advocate using Chlorhexidine.  This membrane can be left to the oral cavity so it really gives the best of both worlds when it comes to membranes. Its resorbable and can be left exposed. Sutured with Villet 2 sutures, will post the results in 3 months.
