Here is an interesting resorption case. Patient stated that #9 felt “full”, no hx of trauma. Obvious from the PA that something is cooking. CBCT revealed quite a large defect in the Cross Sectional.
You can see how large that defect is in the cross sectional.
Extracted, was able to fit a medium Ref Body. Maybe some CEREC Gurus can help me here, but whenever I advance from the Acquisition screen to the Model Screen, it does not let me go back and take images later. I exported the Pre-oP model just to get a quick .ssi and after prepping the abutment, went back to use it as a Bio Copy model, but always get locked out. I do remember that this was the nature of the software but us CEREC types are crafty so just hoping for a workaround. I guess I could have taken the Bio Copy image then Saved As on another file and then used one for the .ssi and one for the Bio Copy Crown.
Spotted in the Wild! Here are my prototypes for the ID/Zimmer kit for CEREC Guide. They should have said IME instead of Implant Direct. A few drills fit too tight so I had to send these back for another round of trials, but they are getting there. Used the drill extender to get 2mm more on my D2.
Pilot drill going where it was supposed to go. Slightly Palatal, in line with the adjacent teeth, yet still having an adequate distance to the buccal plate.
In retrospect I could have gone with a 4.7. But you can see that the placement and depth are decent.
As I could not use my Bio Copy I used Bio Individual. Really had to open the embrasures and flatten the buccal chair side on the Temp. Empress Block A1. Patient will return in 4 months for the final crown.
