This was a fun case that had a big surprise after completion! 
We systematically replaced a number of older restorations over the course of a year.   We used the CEREC system with PrimeScan and Ivoclar Vivadent’s eMax CAD ceramics.   

About a year later the patient had an accident and broke one of the centrals. It was unable and it was extracted.  A Nobel Biocare Active implant was placed and we waited about 5 months for osseointegration and scheduling.    The CEREC ScanPost  was scanned with the CEREC PrimeScan.   Utilizing the CEREC 5.0 software, the abutment and crown were designed.   Both parts were milled with an MCXL milling unit out of eMax CAD in the same shade as the prior restoration.   The abutment was, of course, more opaque.   

 

The gingival tissue healed nicely with a proper emergence profile, along with a supragingival margin.
