This was a a case where occlusion obviously came in to play. He broke his #7 crown off and had residual tooth structure. He decided on an implant to resolve the problem.
A Nobel Biocare Active implant was placed, and a stock Procera abutment was modified for the clinical situation. A stone model was made, and it allowed for light contouring of the stone gingiva for control of the emergence profile. An Emax CAD crown was milled for the abutment. A light cutback and Emax Ceram added to the incisal edge.
The entire abutment/crown was then screw retained, and closed with plumber’s tape to protect the screw head, and composite.
