Ok all protypes are approved and production is on for IME’s Zimmer/Implant Direct CEREC Guide Keys. These should be available Dec 1 and again, if you want them send me an email toaugustdds@gmail.com with the Subject heading “CEREC Guide Handles”, and I’ll put you on the list. They will retail for $1300 and come with sterilization boxes. Non restorable #2 fractured. Flattened out the remaining tooth structure.
Could have scanned intra orally with CEREC Omnicam but was finsihing up another patient so I just scanned the Mach 2 model. Planned to place the implant in the furcation.
And here they are!! I know I am biased but the fit is almost too good! Its really tough to get them out of the guide and there is no play laterally. Make sure you use a lot of irrigation as the metal expands when heated and you don’t want to get stuck. I have used other keys that have a lot of “slop” so these really keep you centered.
Started with the 2.3 drilled into the furcation. Weird its hard to see the pilot in the remaining bone but its in there somewhere! Stopped just short of the sinus.
Finished up the series. Placed a 7 by 11.5 HA coated Legacy 2. I use HA coated exclusively now in the Maxillary posterior. As you can see we are centered in the edentulous space and have a ton of space around that we need to graft.
Here we are DFDBA human graft in the socket. Resorbable membrane tacked down with healing abutment. You can see the ascending ramus in the mandible, plus this guy had a gag reflex so the film is really angled. You will have to trust me we have at least 1.5mm between the implant and #1! But I’m really happy with my CEREC Guide keys and hopefully you will be too!!!
Completed Case! Man that was far back. Switched out healing abutment for a contour healer when it loosened up. Just decided to do a stock abutment. Shallow gingiva and somewhat narrow edentulous space. Maybe a little bulky but so far back no one will notice.
