This is the last beta test case with SICAT and Implant Direct! If you have the handles you can now order guides! I’ll post tomorrow specifics. This is a good example of a common problem. This patient knows he needs all of his teeth out and implants, but he can’t afford it, so we are treating what we can with the knowledge we will be doing hybrids in the future.
We made a flipper that the patient hates, rather than trying to get a proposal in CEREC with Bio Copy or Bio Individual, I just drew little circles on each model and imported them as “crowns”
Here you can see the exported “models” and when superimposed really gives you all the information from a standard CEREC proposal you can “toggle”
Optiguide back from the lab. These fit loose, I have been using an isolite lately to stabilize and suction the sheer “waterborading” amount of saline I use for irrigation.
Windows are so important in Guided Surgery, make sure its seated all the way.
So I set up my Guide D2 to 22mm which is the length of my HP head to the cutting end of my long drill. But in this case the teeth get in the way. No biggie, use the drill extender which adds about 8mm to that. The drawback is that depth control is now VISUAL not physical.
Pilot and working length film, I take these just for the beta.
Visual depth control. Look for the 21mm mark. I had the guide set to 22 so I just went a little longer, I had plenty of bone and no nerves, so its all good if I am long. However I do not like this type of depth control especially for newbies.
Take a film with the drill in place for more accurate depth.
Went through the series Even though the site was recently grafted, the bone felt pretty D3, so I used a 4.3mm implant using the final 3.7mm drill.
