Here is a patient that was packing food around a bulky crown I did on a stock abutment. Immediate molar case. Removed Old crown and imaged in CEREC then replaced with an anatomic healing abutment.
Took the gingival mask and the Ti-base/Scan body in CEREC 4.2. I now have the scan posts so I will no longer image these in the mouth.
Designed in 4.2, pay attention to the amount of pressure on the gingival or you will have seating issues.
Zirconia shrinks big time, so don’t be alarmed if the Ti-base fits really loose pre-sintering. Emax milled and stained and glazed then tried back on the assembled abutment.
Abutment seats well with minimal tissue blanching. Screw torqued to 30 Ncm. Love those margins.
Final, much less bulky, slightly sub gingival margins for easy clean up. Note how mice the bone healed around this immediate!
