CEREC Guide is really pretty simple once you do a few. But yes there is a learning curve. And yes, you don’t get the hand holding one may expect from a SICAT guide. But for simple cases they still rock and here is a perfect example. #19 extracted about 3 months ago with a socket graft. We lost a bit of the buccal plate in sectioning the tooth so there was more bone lingually. Planned in CEREC and Galielos
Fabricated the guide. Used an punch AFTER placing the drill body in the thermoplast, works pretty well!
For those that are still waiting the Implants Made Easy CEREC Guide kit is available at http://www.implantsmadeeasy.com/shop/ So come and get it! Its compatible with the Implant Direct Legacy line and Zimmer.
Pretty simple and straightforward. Ended up placing just a cover screw to see if I can get more attached tissue to granulate in then lateralize it at a second stage. Legacy 2 implant used as I will be doing a custom Emax screw retained crown.
Here is the final. Simple stock abutment after contour healer. Teflon tape in access.
