I have so much fun in my office. Here is a little case where I tagged teamed my CEREC and Comfort Plus to scan the patient, bring up a crown proposal, and make a guide. #28 was grafted about 3 months ago. #31 we took an impression on an implant.
I am really liking seeing more of the skull as I am planning the implant. #27 was really tipping buccal and it just looked weird as I was planning in the cross sectional. But taking some steps back and looking at the mandible and how it related to the maxilla, I suddenly “got it”, and then super imposed my CEREC ssi to tweak it a bit. Small reference body.
A good amount of attached tissue so we punched.
Only went up to the 2.8 as the graft still felt soft. Allowed the implant to expand to the final 3.7 by 11.5mm. Got to length but did not torque out at 45Ncm. Note still working on my keys, its harder than you think to get something made!
I sunk the implant down a little further sub crestal. When dealing with bone thats been recently grafted, I always worry about additional loss. Got 30 Ncm, not enough to temporize and the tissue was quite deep, so I went with a conventional 5mm healing abutment.
