Sometime you just got to work with what God gives ya. In this case the patient had about 5mm of bone up to the sinus. The patient had a really thick sinus lining so the plan was to do a Summer lift with osteotomes and place a membrane and graft below the. implant and lift the lining up. The implant was planned just to the base of the sinus floor.
These are the first round of my keys. I love the blue color we got from the anadization process but it added just enough thickness to make a few keys too tight, so the next round will just be stainless steel. Started with the 2.3 hence only using the small reference body.
Lifted the floor up about 3mm so that it was mobile, we will let the implant lift the graft and membrane.
I apologize for the lack of “action shots” but due to the limited opening and the sheer bloodiness, this was as good as it gets. I was a little shy the the graft and hoped to get a better “mound” past my implant. Its deja vu all over again today as I have the same case again. Will post later.
