Computerized Smile Design is all the rage and I have been dying to take a course. But if you have been 3D printing you know my buddy Cristian Brenes. His Tooth and Pontic Library are legendary in Meshmixer and he has just one upped himself with the Christian Brenes Smile Overlay Library. This works off the Golden Proportion and the proper Incisor width and Length. A Centrals width should be about 80% of its length and the golden proportion follows along that with the lateral and canines. In this case we have short teeth with spacing. We could get a little length, but need to go ginigval for length. The library should be released soon!
Christian has given us some new tools! We have three sets of 6 anteriors with the Square, Round and Square Round incase edge patterns. Using Overlay 2 you can also superimpose a photo. Christian has even added a Golden Proportion STL gauge to check the widths!
I personally remove the teeth with “Erase and Fill” I find the cult tool a bit cumbersome.
This was printed on the Asiga Max with the very cool Ivory colored material. I did two pressure formed matrices. One was trimmed the gingival to serve as a gingivectomy guide and another was past the cervical to make the temps.
Temps in Luxatemp. I know, not exactly “Style Italiano” but now I can send the 3D printed model to the lab to help as the patient really liked the length. Will post finals.
