As we seated a patient to start our second CEREC case of the day we received
this error message on our OMNICAM CAPTURE UNIT:
WHAT???? My USB license is current. Isn’t it? SERIOUSLY, How can this happen? Where is my USB License Drive? (looking around on the white body of the unit for a USB License Drive) Is this because I didn’t update my software???
Turns out, in moving the CEREC OMNICAM Capture Unit from room to room, we managed to disengage the Dongle so it was loose and unreadable.
My friendly Sirona Rep instructed me to power down the computer then:
- Open the rear compartment door
- Locate the SIRONA Dongle. (Notice it is glowing)
- Remove the SIRONA Dongle and replace it.
- Wait a minute… then re-boot the computer.
And we’re back in business! Ready to rock on with my CEREC OMNICAM
