The Sirona PC block comes through! It’s always tough to match a single central. We focus on determining translucency vs. opacity first, then shade, then minute characterizations.
We had the patient bleach for a while, and then come in to replace the PFM on the central. Having a couple of MCXL milling chambers allowed us to have a few crowns to try in, and we chose the Sirona PC block SM1. It was tried in with Ivoclar-Vivadent’s Variolink Esthetic Try-in Pastes, and we chose “Warm.” It was then treated with HF etch, Monobond Plus, and bonded in with a total-etch technique with Adhese and the dual-cure Variolink Esthetic Warm. Easy clean up, and a great combination for depth.
