Got some PMs asking if I still like or use CG2. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression but CG2 is still my main go to guide. 94% of all Implant cases sent to Glidewell last year for restorations were single units. You can 3D print single and multiple unit guides but the drawback is time. It takes longer to design and it takes about 3 hours to make them. So when I have a patient who is good to go and wants an implant that day I definitely do CEREC Guide 2. Great case, big grafting in #30 area post vertical root fracture. A little supra eruption on #3 but we will take care of that when we do the crown.
Nice and smooth. What I am doing a lot more is switching back to 2 stage and primary closure over punches. Just looking at my cases, bone loss or implant loss, I am favoring a less risky approach. I can also save a lot more gingiva.
Used an HA coated Legacy 4 5.2 by 10. Nice and easy. Primary closure with Villet 2 sutures.
