Baby Come Back: 5 years later and implant returns for its crown

Here is a real blast from the past!!  I did this implant almost 4 years ago!  patient finally came back.  I had to dig up these images from the old Alpha testing reports for the Implant Direct ILS program.  We had extracted the tooth and the patient did not want to wear a flipper so we did this little “hugger” bridge.  These were the old Implant Direct Guides, which were actually really nice.  Too bad ID did not end up making guides.Implant planned and placed.

Here we are almost 5 years later!  You can see this patient had meticulous oral hygiene and the healing cap stayed on.  Decent bone levels as well.  Closed tray impression.

We replaced the healing cap with a Contour Healer (www.contourhealer.com) and got some nice displacement and papillas being formed.
