Almost a Crown

Personally, I choose to be conservative with tooth removal, and I believe full coverage crowns can be over utilized.

This is a case where we did a 3/4 crown after a cusp fracture.   Easy, and conservative.

I can understand the argument that the buccal cusps may be weakened, but weren’t they already?   How did they last with the situation presented?  How do buccal cusps last so long with the biggest MOD amalgam through the center of teeth?   I think they will do just fine.

Something for my dental colleagues to consider.  🙂
