Sorry for the long title, but man, we used everything in my office on this case. Typical presentation, Upper second pre molar broken off at the gumline. We drew two coals of blood for PRF and got busy on the CEREC Guide.
As you may or may not have seen at Digital Enamel, I have been geeking out as of late on 3D printing. But for speed and hardness, you can’t beat good “ol fashioned” CNC aka CEREC. 45 minutes later we have out guide. If we tried to print we would be looking at least 2 hours.
Had an extra Re Plant laying around so we used that. One thing nice about the Legacy 2 and the Re Plant are that they can be placed through the guide.
We used part of the PRF mixed in with MFDBA Cadaver graft and the rest as a membrane.
One nice thing apart from all the healing benefits of PRF is how it makes your graft more of a putty. We used the PRF as a membrane and sutured with Gut. Will post the rest of the case tomorrow.
