Here is yet another DFDBA/A-PRF socket graft case. A-PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) is such a great adjust to an already great thing to do for your patients, socket grafting. As I stated two cases ago, if you are not socket grafting you are really doing a disservice to your patients. You can get a longer more predictable implant later as you have more bone and better soft tissue. The Fibrin clot and progenitor cells lead to better bone healing, more bone and better soft tissue. Super simple case, extracted with luxators.
A few vials drawn. Had to punt and get a nurse in on this one. As long as you get the vials into the centrifuge in a minute or so you have about an hour working time after. Mixed some PRF with DirecGen DFDBA (Demineralized Freeze Dried Bone Aggregate), small particle mixed cortical and cancellous bone. I want both cortical and medullary bone to grow so we got both.
Placed the bone which has such great handing with the PRF with another plug as flattened out as a membrane and a very primitive figure 8 suture. Will post healed images later.
