Just going through some of my old cases and posting them here. This was my very first Galielos case!! I had been involved with Guided Surgery prior to this (developing Implant Direct’s software as well as beta testing Cybermed, Anatomage, and BlueSkyBio). Large lateral lesion, patient not interested in a retreat. When incorporating CEREC, its important to look at the case first without the benefit of the .ssi. Just look at the Guide Sleeve and get that in position first, then turn on the CEREC and really fine tune.
Super easy surgery. Back before CEREC Guide many would argue as to why I would do simple cases Guided? From a cost perspective, guides cost time and money. But just having that incredible accuracy and the overall speed of the procedure would make me keep gravitating back to Guided vs Free-hand.
In this case we had to use the laser a bit. With the Implant Direct Implants that I currently use, I use oversized healing abutments to start shaping the tissue early so that when it comes time for impressions and seating the case, its easy.
