As you may or may not know, Optiguides which are guides that have been previously manufactured in Germany can now be made in the US! DigitalGuides, which they are called are files made by SICAT and sent to local labs that have been approved. Burbank Dental, which I have used for years is currently making them and if you upgrade your Galaxis you will see a button for DigitalGuides! Pretty simple case, #18/19 previously grafted by yours truly. Scanned up in CEREC and Galileos.
The guides look a little different than OptiGuides but fit the same. These are a little shinier which is kinda cool! Nice and stable.
Used the Implant Direct Guide Handle kit setting the D2 to 22.5 based on my Nouvag handpick. If you want to learn more about this and CEREC Guide 2 D2s come to my Implant Dentistry 101 for CEREC users in Napa! #18 and #19 HA coated Legacy 4s from Implant Direct.
Implants placed. Not really following my own rules here. I don’t like to use CEREC SSI files for distal free ends as you have to manually draw the margin and figure out tooth spacing. In retrospect if I did this with a wax up and Barium Sulfate I would have liked #18 to be a bit more distal. But we should have a great result, they look a bit lingual as thats where the bone is.
