Man They Don’t Make Them Like This Anymore: Easy CEREC Guide/Legacy Case

There are a lot of newbies that want to start placing implants and in my opinion one of the easiest implants to place is a lower molar. If there is a nice wide ridge, lots of attached tissue, and a good distance from the nerve, these make for a nice stress free case. Previously grafted site, tons of room.

Planned for a CEREC Guide. Interesting, when the files are in Omnicam for the ssi they are color and when the get to Galileos they are yellow, when you import them back they stay yellow.

Used my handy dandy keys (www.implantsmadeeasy.com/shop/) that are Zimmer and Implant Direct compatible along with a Salvin punch.

Placed a 5.2 by 10 mm Implant, again if you pick the right cases, Implants are well within the realm of any GP with the right training and technology. Will be doing a Screw Retained Emax on this Legacy 2 implant.

Sorry for the lack of CEREC screen shots but I lost a lot of patient cases beta testing. Shaped the tissue with a contour healer. Due to the drifting of teeth we have a smaller space than a molar normally wood. You can see my implant is a bit lingual but the screw access is in a good place.

 
Here is the final. The Ti base was fairly occlusal and difficult to opaque out, but in the end I think it turned out nice.
