Pick your battles. Usually this is an statements when dealing with your significant other, but after doing all digital hybrids for the last 3 years I know when to use equipments and techniques, and when to go solo. I have found that if a patient has a lot of ruggae and it’s an upper, I have had great success scanning with just the Primescan. If you have read any of my posts on hybrids, you may either see white squiggly composite blobs on the patient’s gums or dominos scan bodies on the implants. Not in this case. This patient had an existing All on 4 with a converted denture as a temp. She felt she was overcooled so we used a facial 3rds gauge to help us determine how much to open her up.
http://www.Digitalenamel.tvAgain, if you have seen any of my stuff, you know the drill. Scan the patient with their existing temporary in to get the vertical and then link the scan body scan to the bite using anatomic landmarks. In this case we used Bio Horizon’s implant level Scan Bodies.
In this view the midline looks a little off, but in the full face, in the following video and in the mouth we are aligned.
