Just playing around with by Galielos and I noticed that the Facescanner outputs to .OBJ format. Those (and I would think there are only a few) dorkier than I know that .OBJ is the popular format for 3D printers, but you may not know its an older format for 3D animation studios like Pixar! Here is a motorcycle I made in a program called 3D Studio Max, which can be used to make animated movies like Monsters Inc etc.
The face scan imports into 3DS Max in a gray shell and you can put on Materials and render them. I am partial to a rendering engine called Mental Ray, which takes int consideration the way photons on light travel. Again, revealing a little too much about my geeky-ness, but the physics department of UCLA was brought in to assist in the creation of this rendering engine.
You can put these materials down on the surface like a shrink wrap. Here is Metallic paint.
Now my patient is the newest member of the Blue Man Group!
You can select metals or even chrome.
You can even wrap a jpeg around your mask.
I put the sky as the background and used a bronze shader. Again, completely worthless but fun anyway!
