DESS-Rupting the Milling World: $30 DESS Milled titanium abutment from the VHF Z4 mill on a Legacy 2 printed CEREC Guide 2 Case

 

This is a case where its good to know different Difgital Dentistry Systems, and know the right people!  Frankie Acosta helped me out as when I scanned this case, CEREC Guide 2 was not available in Primescan, it is now though.

I absolutely love the DESS titanium scan body.  Its matte titanium and scans easy, but metal so it wont distort in sterilization and easy to see on an Xray.  At $30 a titanium block (pre-mill) I’ll never use a stock abutment again! Milled out of a standard Emax block, should have gone with LT not HT.
