Ok I got some more resin from Apply Lab Works for the Form 2. This retails for $70 vs $150 from Formlabs. When you are printing a 40 model aligner case, that adds up quick! The Moonray resin is working perfectly, so I am super excited about that. I tested the tan and the gray. So here is the “spoiler alert”, the gray worked perfectly, the tan, not so much. On both you select the Gray resin V3 orV4 in the Formlabs printer software Pre-Form. If you are a newb to the Form 2, you can run it on “open mode”, which disables the autofill, the wiper and the heater. No big deal as most printers do not have this feature.
Models were printed on the Moonray, with Moonray Resin which seems to work well and the same tray tried on the Gray and the Tan Apply Labworks models. The Grays snapped in with the same resistance, on the tan, we couldn’t get them to seat. Will make the rest of the aligners with Apply Lab Work’s Gray and post the results!!
