Now, now don’t everyone get mad at my at once! I truly love Blue Ski Bio and their free software Blue Sky Plan, just find you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get the final product, and just in my hands, I find the interface hard to use. Enter Dentiq Guide. This is free software, you just pay per STL export which is $20. You need to but a 10 export “dongle”, which they are doing away with at the end of 2018. They will then allow you to download the exports directly. Scanned in CEREC and Galielos and exported the STLs and DICOM data into Dentiq. You can see how nicely the rendering is in Dentiq.

The interface is incredibly smooth and very very intuitive. I was amazed at how simple it really was. The offset for the height of the guide is the length of the drill minus the length of the implant, the handle height, and any lip you may have on your guide. Same as BSP.
I printed this in the Form 2 with Ortho clear. Dental exports the drill sequence and a really nice visual report.
I forgot to add a window, but its really easy in the software. Super easy case. We used a large implant direct sleeve.
We placed the implant about 1mm subcrestal. We used a punch but after it granulates in we are going to move some tissue from the lingual to the buccal. I am really excited about this software.
If you want to learn more about it, come to the 3D printing party in Boston April 27 and 28!
