If you don’t follow Baron Grutter, you really should. He does a lot in the 3D Printing/Digital Ortho world. Baron has a great little gadget/3D Printable file called the Anatomic Profile Generator. It allows you to use a ti base or a temp titanium cylinder to add flowable composite to make custom healing abutments. This is a 6 unit CEREC Guide 2 case I have been working on.
You can either buy the .STL file from baron or get it from it printed. Just insert the titanium cylinder and analog into the desired size of emergence profile and add flowable after applying vaseline to the sides of the emergence profile as its made out of composite.
Although my suturing isn’t pretty, I’ll post after a month or so. We apically positioned the flaps to get some attached tissue on the buccal. The interproximals should granulate in. Could have gone larger on the molars.
If you want to learn more about 3D printing we are doing our last course of the year in Austin Oct 20/21 at the digital enamel campus!! You can register below!
